ACADEMIC INFORMATION

We pride ourselves on offering a strong academic education in a culture and environment that develops well-rounded and confident young women. We understand that no two girls are the same and therefore offer an exceptional range of choice in academic subjects, with the flexibility for older girls to follow the curriculum that is most suitable for them.

At Key Stage 4, girls are prepared for GCSEs in all subjects, with the exception of CAIE IGCSE in Food and Nutrition. Beyond the compulsory core subjects taken by all girls to ensure that they keep as many doors open for the future as possible, there is scope for each individual to construct a bespoke course of study.

More information about GCSE choices can be found in the GCSE Options Booklet.

The Sixth Form is all about choice, with approximately 30 subjects on offer at A Level as well as a BTEC Diploma option. More information about the Sixth Form can be found in the Sixth Form Course Guide.

With outstanding results at GCSE and A Level, Headington Rye Oxford is one of the top performing schools in the UK.
