Executive Summary
We require a Netball Coach to help with the delivery of our Games afternoons, lunchtime and and after-school clubs, before school sessions and fixtures. We are seeking a Netball Coach with the expertise to deliver sessions from Year 7 all the way through to our 1st VII squad.
The successful candidate will be confident in their knowledge of coaching Netball, will be appropriately qualified and capable of delivering excellent sessions to both novice students and experienced senior players. They will ideally possess the England Netball Level 2 Coaching Qualification. Ideally they will have playing experience.
We envisage our Netball Coach will help with the delivery of our Games sessions in the afternoon which run everyday 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm and then assist with our after-school clubs and fixtures, which run between 4.00 pm - 7.00 pm. The days are flexible and can be discussed at the interview stage. We are looking for someone for the Autumn and Spring terms.

The PE Department at Headington Rye Oxford
The Physical Education Department is a large team including the Director of Sport, Director of Performance, PE teachers and visiting coaches. The Netball Coach will be a member of the sport peripatetic team.
Role Description
This part-time role is required for the Autumn and Spring Terms starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- plan and deliver outstanding Netball sessions that sufficiently challenge our students
- ensure a safe and secure learning environment where students are challenged and are encouraged to develop their technique, confidence and enjoyment for Netball
- provide creative sessions that motivate pupils whilst sustaining a disciplined approach to teaching and learning
- assist the Director of Sport keeping an accurate record of registrations for Netball classes and clubs and keep staff informed of any non-attendees
- be responsible for ensuring equipment and facilities are left tidy at the end of every session
- assist on Netball fixtures in a coaching and umpiring capacity when required

Pension
Contributory membership of the School’s Support Staff Pension Scheme with a School contribution of up to 9.95 per cent upon successful completion of six months’ service.
Fee remission
In accordance with the School’s policy, which may be subject to change from time to time, up to 50% fee remission for girls attending Headington School. Fee remission is calculated on the number of weeks and hours worked and is pro rata for part time staff who work at least 50% of a normal working week.
Salary
£25.50 per hour (plus holiday pay)
