Try boarding yourself

The idea of boarding can be daunting, particularly if your daughter has never lived away from home before.

We want to ensure both you and your daughter feel happy and reassured about the time she will be spending as a boarder.

Before your daughter starts her boarding journey, we’ll offer her the chance to spend a night in one of our boarding houses. We want you both to get a real feel for what boarding is like, so it will be combined with a taster day spent in school with special, tailored lessons in subjects such as Music, Classics, German and Sport. She will either spend the night before or after her taster day in the boarding house, joining the boarders for supper and taking part in an activity such as swimming, a house meeting or nachos night.

If your daughter is a day girl thinking about boarding, we’ll talk to her about what boarding is all about, give her a tour of one of our boarding houses and offer her the chance to spend a night as a boarder.
