Welcome from Caroline Jordan, Headmistress
We are delighted to be able to share with you our annual review of the year, Inspire. This is our second Inspire magazine using the digital format and we do hope you enjoy the interactive nature of this online publication.
It has been such a fantastic year seeing the disruption of previous years fade into memory as we have returned to a full programme of activities, events, sporting fixtures and trips. It’s also been wonderful to see opportunities from girls throughout the School to mix, for example at charity, house or sporting events, in ways which had previously been curtailed.
We’ve tried to reflect as much as possible of what happens in our bustling, vibrant school. While naturally you will be looking to see your own daughter featuring, do spend some time looking at the kinds of things going on in other subject areas, with older or younger girls, or in extra-curricular arenas which you are less familiar with. It’s an excellent way to get a picture of Headington as a whole. I hope what you see within these pages gives you and your daughter plenty of opportunities to reminisce over the past year but also to generate excitement about what is still to come.
There is much to celebrate in this issue - hard-fought and richly-deserved results in external examinations, incredible individual and group academic achievements, spectacular sporting success, awe-inspiring Art and breath-taking Music, Dance and Drama productions, not to mention the daily business of learning and mastering new concepts within the classroom . As well as those soaring high at the elite end of the spectrum, we celebrate everyone who is prepared to try something new, work hard and achieve to the best of their abilities.
I am filled with immense pride to have the privilege of leading this wonderful school and the opportunity to play a small part in these young women’s educational journey.
