Teaching in the Sixth Form is more independent and more individual and there is an onus on girls to bring more to the classroom.

Freedom is definitely a defining feature of Sixth Form. With self-led study periods and flexible times leaving and arriving, your organisation is much more in your own hands. Class sizes are smaller and having more hours with the same teachers helps build much closer relationships.

Expect a different style of teaching in our Sixth Form.
Instead of the Q&A nature of some GCSE classes, your lessons will be more like seminars – like at university.
The class sizes are smaller, learning is very interactive and teachers treat you as adults. Girls consistently obtain top results at A Level. Specialist programmes are offered for Medicine and Veterinary Science, Architecture and Law.
Preparing pupils for the future in the Sixth Form builds on the programme of work experience and careers programmes throughout the School and includes 1:1 chats, careers profiling, talks and lectures from inspirational professionals, alongside dedicated UK, Oxbridge and Overseas university application support.
Sixth formers can also access our extensive alumni support network, offering our current girls mentoring and work experience opportunities. There are strong links to Oxford and Oxford Brookes universities with lectures, workshops and visits both to the School and at university facilities.
